My First Camping Trip

Momma took me on my first camping trip... we joined a whole crew of extended family planning to be at the campground that weekend too! Weather was good, but a bit chilly in the mornings. We headed up to Raccoon Creek State Park with Pap Friday night.

After we got camp set up, we headed down to GUM and GAM's campsite for some treats and my first fire! Mom roasted some HUGE Marshmallows that GAM provided! We went to bed pretty late but I got a good night's rest in the camper

Saturday I woke up pretty early. We had breakfast then went down to the playground. Mom had camped at this campground a lot as a kid, so she remembers the walk through the woods to get the playground.... and she still thinks it's really cool!

I eventually learned to walk up this all by myself!

There are no pictures to prove it, but Mom went down the fire pole too! :)

Eventually, it was nap time.... Mom took pictures at nap time so that she could show everyone the sleeping bag I was using! Mom thinks that GUM and GAM gave her this as a little girl but no one is sure. She used it for years and was flabbergasted that Grammy and Pap had kept it! It's of course pink and holly hobby, but I loved sleeping under it too!

Saturday after nap time we had some visitors at camp! Cousin David and Uncle Greggy posed for a picture....

Here is a picture of me with my lawn mower... I really liked taking all my toys to the bathroom with us. I think I asked Mom to take me to go potty every.single.time I was playing with a new toy. The good news of this is we had no potty accidents all weekend! The bad news (for Mom) is that we made 100 trips to the bathroom!

and then Saturday night we had another fire...

and glow sticks!!!!!
