So after a bit of a cake mistake on Mommy's part and Grammy having to re-make the bottom tier we got together for some decorating... Pap came over too - so for once Mommy wasn't behind the camera.
First we frosted the bottom tier white. Then Mom colored some fondant black.
And we cut it in small squares for the checkered sides
Owen was helping too!
We stuck the round 2nd tier together, then we cut down the 2 top tiers about 2" and placed them on the bottom tier.. and iced those in yellow. Then we used more black fondant for the "road"
then we added grass, fruit rollups, and the 4!
Grammy did a lot of the more tedious icing
and Mom added the finishing touches
Here it is!
Then Brian and Owen had some fun with decorating the cupcakes!
